Doc. PLMV-MTH-001 · Rev. 2026.10
Methodology and editorial policy
PLM Vendors compiles vendor profiles and articles from public documentation, applies one capability scale to every product and publishes the sources behind each page. The register is unranked.
Inclusion criteria
A product is included when it is sold as product lifecycle management, product data management, formulation or specification management, or product portfolio and innovation management software, and when the vendor serves customers in Europe or globally. Products that were acquired and folded into another offering are listed under their current name, with their history in the overview.
Sources
Profiles draw on vendor product pages and documentation, release notes, annual reports and regulatory filings, and reputable industry coverage. Each profile and article lists its sources. Figures such as revenue appear only when a citable source exists, with the reporting period stated.
Capability scale
Nine capability areas are assessed for every product on the same four-level scale. The assessment reflects documented out-of-the-box functionality at the review date. It does not measure implementation quality, partner capacity or price.
| Strong | Strong | Native, documented functionality that covers the area in depth and is a stated focus of the product. |
|---|---|---|
| Available | Available | Native functionality that covers the core of the area, with depth that depends on configuration. |
| Limited | Limited | Basic or narrowly scoped functionality, or capability announced but not yet generally available. |
| Partner | Partner | Delivered through partner products, marketplace add-ons or integration with a separate system. |
Independence
Listings are unranked and are not paid placements. Vendors can submit factual corrections with a source; corrections are verified before publication and do not change the scale applied to other products. Vendor names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Review cycle
The register and knowledge base are reviewed together, with the revision shown in the header of every page. The current revision is 2026.10, reviewed 16 October 2026. Regulatory articles are also updated when an implementing act, delegated act or postponement is published.
Privacy and analytics
PLM Vendors measures visits with Google Analytics 4 only after a visitor accepts analytics in the consent banner. Until then Google Consent Mode keeps analytics storage switched off, and advertising storage stays off for everyone. IP addresses are anonymised, no advertising features are enabled and the site sets no other cookies. Clearing site data in the browser resets the choice.

For adjacent parts of the product data stack, independent directories such as pimvendors.com (PIM vendors), pimselection.com (PIM selection) and digitalassetmanagementsystems.com (DAM vendors) cover their categories in more depth. Primary legal texts are available on EUR-Lex.
