Kubix Link and Yunique PLM

Kubix Link and Yunique PLM are the two fashion PLM products from Lectra, the French fashion technology group, covering collection development, product data and supplier collaboration.

Overview

Lectra markets two complementary fashion PLM products. Kubix Link is a cloud-native platform that combines PLM, PIM and DAM functions, so collection development, product information and media sit in one data model. Yunique PLM is a long-established, configurable apparel PLM covering style management, bills of materials, digital tech packs, supplier portals and product specification workflows. Lectra's March 2026 portfolio note cites Yunique PLM 10.4 and Kubix Link 3.4 as the latest releases.

The two products arrived through acquisitions. Lectra bought the Italian company Kubix Lab in January 2018 for up to 7 million euros, and Yunique PLM joined with the acquisition of Gerber Technology, finalised in June 2021. Both remain separate products, and Lectra positions them for different buyer needs: Kubix Link for unified product data across channels, Yunique PLM for structured product development.

The PLM products sit inside a wider Lectra fashion portfolio that includes Gerber AccuMark and Modaris for pattern making and 2D/3D CAD, cutting equipment, Valia Fashion for manufacturing, Retviews for competitive retail data, TextileGenesis for traceability and Launchmetrics for brand performance. Typical customers are fashion brands, retailers and manufacturers that already use Lectra or Gerber pattern and cutting technology and want product data to flow between design, development and production.

Best fit

Fashion brands, retailers and manufacturers that use Lectra or Gerber pattern-making and cutting technology and want PLM connected to that design and production chain.

Presence in Europe

Lectra is headquartered in Paris, and Kubix Link originates from the Italian company Kubix Lab, which Lectra acquired in 2018.

Strengths

  • Close integration with Lectra and Gerber pattern-making and 2D/3D CAD tools such as AccuMark and Modaris.
  • Kubix Link combines PLM, PIM and DAM capabilities in one cloud-native product data model.
  • A wider fashion portfolio covering traceability (TextileGenesis), market data (Retviews) and manufacturing (Valia Fashion).
  • A listed company with long fashion industry experience and a large installed base across Europe and other regions.

Considerations

  • Two separate PLM products require buyers to confirm which platform fits their needs and what each product's roadmap looks like.
  • Yunique PLM customers should verify long-term plans for the product relative to Kubix Link before major investments.
  • The products focus on fashion and soft goods, so process formulation and discrete engineering needs fall outside their scope.
